Notification: Guidelines for COVID-19

Patients must arrive alone unless they need a parent, worker or chaperone to bring them to their appointment. Patients are required to wear their mask unless they have a written letter of exemption from their licensed health care provider.

If you have a fever, or symptoms of a “cold” or chest infection, we kindly ask that  you proceed to your local hospital for your x-ray study, and please reschedule your ultrasound exam for a later date. Our receptionist can be reached at 519-376-2000.

Ultrasound: These are available by scheduled appointments. We do occasionally have last minute appointments available, please ask at the reception desk.

X-Ray: Requisitions for x-ray studies may be faxed to us by your care-provider or brought to the reception desk.  X-ray studies are provided on a first come, first served basis.

All examinations billed to OHIP require a requisition from a physician or allied health practitioner. Allied health practitioners include chiropractors, nurse practitioners and midwives. Your practitioner may e-mail us, fax us, call us or provide you with a paper requisition that you can bring with you for your examination.

X-ray examinations are available on a walk in basis between 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays. No appointment is necessary for x-rays, but an appointment may be made if desired if your scheduling is important. If you wish to make an appointment for an x-ray simply contact us at 519-376-2000, or to request a booking on-line fill out the form below. Otherwise, you may simply show up at the clinic and your examination will be performed as quickly as possible. Some times are busier than others, and you may wish to call the clinic at 519-376-2000, to find out about off-peak periods.

Please wear loose fitting clothing that can be easily removed if necessary for your x-ray.

All ultrasound examinations require a booking. A limited number of same day emergency appointments are available to the physicians and patients of the Owen Sound Medical Center. In order to book an ultrasound examination, please contact the clinic (see Contact Us). The staff will inform you about any special preparation that is required for the examination. These are also explained on this website (see Preparations).

If you do not receive an email confirmation within 2 business days, please telephone to confirm your appointment.
